Abstract:
This thesis explores the opportunity of achieving mindfulness and self-actualization through a series of architectural experiences within a dense metropolitan core- New York City. New Yorkers are constantly faced with environmental factors that contribute to the constant inability to live in the moment, and the Now Museum is a response to this assumption.

Abstract:
Columbus Circle is a nexus of entertainment, transportation and leisure and is one of the busiest intersections in all of New York City. The concept for the Now Museum proposes removing the top layer of the Columbus Circle, creating a gateway to the subway lines below where the subterranean workings of New York are revealed. By connection the Now Museum to the infrastructure and creating a gateway into Central Park, users will experience a gradient of architectural environments.
Abstract:
It is the purpose of the Now Museum to promote the notion of living in the moment, to present issues that prevent mindfulness and self-actualization, and to solicit answers through architectural form and phenomenology of space.
