Abstract:
|
"Qilou represents a unique style of traditional Lingnan architecture in China. However, when these buildings were reconstructed using CG techniques, a great deal of repetitive work was included. As procedural modeling plays a key role in computer graphic in various areas as a productivity enhancement tool, I designed and constructed a procedural model of Qilou in Houdini, allowing interactive control of its dimensions and using a modular design to facilitate different people working together. In comparison to Maya and other 3D modeling software, this method is more flexible and efficient." -- Abstract
