Abstract:
|
This body of work is driven by the emphasis of process and application techniques. Through
formal aesthetics I work with line, color, and the overall composition to evoke a chaotic yet
balanced two-dimensional atmosphere. The use of acrylic paint, silkscreen ink, and various
polymer mediums allows me to build layers that function spatially. Lacking any specific
narrative, this work is an optical experience that allows for viewer inspection without any
preconceived associations. These abstractions allow for an alternative means of communication
that is not bound in words or representation, but rather through mood, feelings, intuition, and the
unknown.
