Abstract:
"In today's experience economy, people are increasingly evaluating the world based on their view of what is or what is not authentic, subsequently seeking out ways to participate in an authentic experience. Savannah's Hostess City reputation is intertwined with social experiences; its historical roots and traditions provide its authentic experience and resonate emotionally to its audience. This authenticity provides an opportunity for a brand in Savannah to position itself within this existing story and market itself accordingly. This thesis will engage methods of experience design and experiential marketing to reinterpret a local restaurant's brand experience. The intention of intertwining experiential marketing strategy and experience design with furniture is to adapt a hospitality brand in the food and service industry with an event capable of communicating authenticity to an audience through its customer experience. The concept focused on practical fiscal investment and incorporates the existing methods of production." --Abstract
