Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is to provide the reader with a basic understanding of the necessity of actively displaying the decision-making process in animated characters in a visual way. A breakdown of the differing types of decision-making will be followed with a discussion of a few of the most common techniques employed in their visualisation. The latter part of the paper will touch briefly on how the visual display of decision-making impacted the creation of the visual component of this thesis, the short film “Thinking”.
