Abstract:
"This thesis will act as a guide to engaging in alternatives to the graphic design practice outside of the traditional client-commision structure of commercial creatives. The emergence of graphic design using internet platforms and tools has allowed graphic designers to transition from worker to author of their own work. In transitioning to self-authorship in praxis, graphic designers need to be aware of the benefits, new burdens, new assets, and best practices of self-authorship."
