Abstract:
This thesis is based on John Whitney Sr.’s theory of digital harmony and how it can be systematically applied to kinetic typography. Whitney’s hypothesis was based on that he was looking to visualize music in the same way one could hear music. The thesis is a way of showing how implementing his theory into kinetic typography can expand moving type into more of the visual music area better then standard key framing can do in motion graphics.
