Abstract:
|
Picture books are an intricate part of a child’s life. Yet as one leaves childhood and steps into the realm of
adulthood, the value of such books can be easily tucked away. Despite such an inevitable transition, the
value of picture books in the development of a child must not be forgotten. Picture books are a vital
necessity in the life of a child due to their ability to teach, their provision for growth by cognitive
development and critical thought, and their presence to provide comfort. As a result, through the impact
of picture books in the life of a child, children are provided the needed tools to grow into adulthood and
step forward as confident adults.
