Abstract:
This thesis focuses on the design problems plaguing children’s comics, exploring how these
issues tie in with children’s literacy, and delves into possible solutions creators can utilize. This thesis
analyzes several examples of children’s comics in order to determine which elements are effective in
guiding young readers towards literacy and which are detrimental to the reader’s understanding of the
story.
