Beginning production of their scarfs in 1937, Hermès defined this iconic piece over the years by unique designs and eye-catching colorways such as the black and pink on this scarf. The lefthand horse in this scene makes a flirtatious remark by asking the other, “Could I have your stall number?” The equestrian theme of the piece references the origin of Hermès as a saddle supplier and harness maker, starting at a small Paris workshop in 1837.
